Pernilla Fredriksson
Pernilla was born on the 29th of August 1987 at the Carolinian Hospital in Stockholm. Her parents were happy with their work and decided to take her home to the Stockholm-suburb Jakobsberg, where she still lives (but in another apartment, in another street and in another time).

Choice of instrument
Pernilla has always liked music and she’s been singing for as long as anyone can remember. Because of her great interest in music, her wonderful mother decided to get her a small, practical instrument so she could play and sing at the same time, but the eight-year-old Pernilla had other plans. She wanted a big and advanced instrument so she could be heard loud and clear so picked the Cello, and her nice mother finally agreed after some nagging.

Music class
When Pernilla started the fourth grade she switched school and started a music class and since then she’s kept to the same track. She started studying music at the gymnasium Rytmus in Stockholm where she’s currently singing, studying and having a great time.

Tambu
At Rytmus, Pernilla met Johanna and was asked if she wanted to sing backup vocals in her band Tambu. Pernilla, who had already met some of the other band members at Johanna’s 18th birthday party and thought they seemed like nice and behaving youths, accepted the offer and went the long way to Eskilstuna to try out for the band. And the rest is history…
Besides singing backup vocals in Tambu, Pernilla has many other gigs. She sings a lot of country and writes her own songs that she’s currently recording in a studio. She’s trying to improve her guitar playing and want’s to be Sweden’s new Pop/Rock/Country artist. Her voice and style has been compared to the Swedish country singer Jill Johnson but if you ask Pernilla, she doesn’t like being compared to anyone else. She is simply, Pernilla.
