Tambu was formed in 2003. It's a young
band, and most of us come from
Eskilstuna, Sweden.
The music we play has been
categorized as "slick pop rock" by
MusikDirekt, a swedish music competition.
Song writing
Johanna started to write songs and wanted to form a new band
after playing in different projects. But to form a band she certainly
needed to have some musicians. And who could be better than the guitarist
Mikael that she had played with before, and his newfound friend and multi-musician, Daniel.
The music
Together they started to struggle through Johannas very weird and strangely written songs, but after a while it almost started to sound like music, and it was time to put together
the rest of the band.
More members
Starting with a drummer they asked an old friend and previous band member to Johanna and Mikael. And there they were with the one and only Hronek. But Johannas way of writing music called for some backup vocals.
The obvious choice for backup vocals, were a long time friend of Johanna, Mikael and Hronek called Maria.
But yet they needed more vocals to make the band complete
and they all thought that Daniels girlfriend Lova would be an excellent choice.
Now they only had to find a bassplayer.
Completing the band
They searched for a long time but no one seemed to be the right one, until they finally found a cool guy who could surprise everyone with his magic fingers. That was Elias.
Today they continue their long journey to conquer the world.
